Palomar Knot

  1. Double 6 inches of line and pass the loop through the hook eye.
  2. Tie a loose overhand knot in the doubled line, keeping the hook hanging free.
  3. Pass the loop completely over the hook / lure.
  4. Moisten line with water/saliva and pull main line and tag end simultaneously to cinch tight. Trim tag to 1/8".
BRAID-TO-LEADER 98% Efficiency

FG Knot (Slim Profile)

  1. Hold main braid under tension (between teeth or rod tip).
  2. Weave fluorocarbon leader back and forth across main braid 16–20 times.
  3. Tie 2 half-hitches over both braid and leader to lock weaves.
  4. Pull main braid and leader forcefully to set the weaves into the FC line.
  5. Tie 4 alternate half-hitches with braid over main braid line. Trim leader end flush.
